Submit your own research

Submit a research query or your own research

The Provincial Research Group can be a source of advice to those who have questions regarding the history of Freemasonry in South Wales and we welcome such research queries.

We also welcome the submission of original research for review, discussion and ultimately entry into our own Provincial Library.

Contributors may select their own subject within the fields of Masonic History, Symbolism, Ritual, Biography, Antiquities, Architecture or any other subject deemed to be of historical importance.  Lodge Histories and local Masonic History are acceptable if of broad interest to the Province.

As a guide, essays should consist of 5,000 to 10,000 words and should be submitted in Word, Open Office or PDF format, and contain the author’s name, address and email address as the first page.

The fundamental purpose of the Provincial Research Group is Masonic research and it is therefore expected that submissions contain relevant content. Papers of a philosophical nature are unlikely to be admitted.

Submissions are accepted on the basis that the Research Group will exercise normal editorial powers in the review and preparation of essays for publication. Copyright of papers remains with the authors.

Any enquiries, communications or offer of papers for submission should be made through the Group Secretary, W.Bro. Chris Mugford at cemugford@nullhotmail.com
